The Story of River City Diner!

history-exterior

River City Diner was established in 1994 in the heart of Richmond, VA on Main St. We were your classic diner with jukeboxes, great food and fun. With all the fun our city people were having we decided to spread the wealth to the Northside and the Southside. Our Southside location in the Shoppes at Bellgrade was established in 2000 followed by our location on the Northside in 2005 right off of I-95.

In 2004 Hurricane Gaston ripped through the Richmond area and flooded much of the city, including RCD on Main Street. RCD wasn't about to stay closed, not with its loyal city patrons. So RCD Downtown moved to its current location in Shockoe Bottom near the 17th Street Farmers' Market with all the same great food, great happy hours, and a new downtown rustic diner feel we love. Whichever location suits you best, we know you'll love our classic diner foods along with our exciting specials, and fantastic atmosphere of yesteryear.
